Allergies

If you are suffering from allergies, you are not alone.  Allergies are the sixth leading cause of chronic illness in the United States.  Thirty percent of adults and forty percent of children suffer from allergies.

Franklin Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine is proud to be offering an innovative form of allergy desensitization known as SAAT (Soliman Auricular Allergy Treatment).  Soliman Auricular Allergy Treatment (SAAT) was developed by Dr. Nader Soliman, an innovator in the field of auricular (ear) acupuncture.  His development of SAAT has resulted in complete allergy desensitization for thousands of people throughout the United States.   We are pleased to offer this life changing form of allergy desensitization treatment to the people of Tennessee and the southeastern region.

SAAT is effective for all allergies and sensitivities/intolerances.  This means that food allergies, food sensitivities, and environmental allergies are all effectively treated with SAAT (Soliman Auricular Allergy Treatment).  This incredibly simple and non-invasive ear acupuncture technique eliminates allergies and sensitivities/intolerances permanently in a short period of time.

The consultation, testing, and treatment is all completed on the day of your visit.  The testing component of SAAT does not entail blood testing or skin patch pricking.  Previous allergy test results are not required prior to having SAAT at Franklin Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine, but they are welcomed. The treatment process involves one tiny specialized ear acupuncture needle per allergen.  Each needle is covered by a small piece of medical adhesive tape.  The needles are left in the ear for three weeks, which resets the immune response to the allergen being treated.  Once the needles are removed, immunological desensitization to the allergen will continue.

SAAT differs greatly from allergy drops and allergy shots in terms of the time frame for desensitization to occur.  With SAAT, complete desensitization typically takes place between two and five weeks after the removal of the needles.  With allergy drops and shots, treatment typically takes place over the course of several years in order to achieve complete desensitization.  With SAAT, some cases may require one or more follow-up treatments for the allergen being treated, however, those cases are not incredibly common.
