About Dairy Sensitivity/Milk Allergy
Dairy sensitivity/milk allergy is a fairly common problem in the U.S. Dealing with this type of sensitivity/allergy can be quite bothersome as dairy is found in many food items. The common culprits that lead to the sensitivity/allergic reactions to dairy are lactose, casein, and whey. Franklin Acupuncture treats both milk allergy and dairy sensitivity. We test for all components of dairy sensitivity/milk allergy, including lactose intolerance.
Treatment for Dairy Sensitivity/Milk Allergy
At Franklin Acupuncture, we specialize in a treatment for dairy sensitivity/milk allergy called Soliman Auricular Allergy Treatment (SAAT). SAAT was developed by Dr. Nader Soliman, an innovator in the field of auricular (ear) acupuncture. Compared to immunotherapies and other holistic therapies, SAAT has been found to provide the most effective results. Ultimately, the outcome of receiving SAAT for dairy sensitivity/milk allergy is complete elimination of the allergic reactions. We provide dairy sensitivity/milk allergy and lactose intolerance treatment for patients in Tennessee and surrounding areas such as Kentucky, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Indiana, and Illinois.
In conventional medicine, there are several options to mitigate the severity of reactions, such as avoidance, immunotherapy (oral immunotherapy, sublingual immunotherapy), and epinephrine. Immunotherapies for dairy sensitivity/milk allergy require an extended period of time to desensitize the patient. They also require that the patient is exposed to dairy products at small incremental doses. Epinephrine is intended to stop severe reactions once they have begun; it does not stop the reactions from occurring in the first place.
SAAT does not involve the use of dairy products directly. SAAT also does not require an extended period of time to address the dairy sensitivity/milk allergy. Depending on what is found at the initial evaluation, the length of treatment is three to ten weeks.
