Food Additive/ Preservative/ Stabilizer Allergies

About Food Additive/ Preservative/ Stabilizer Allergies

Food additives, preservatives, and stabilizers are used to improve flavor, shelf life, or texture. Many individuals who feel they are reacting to multiple foods are in fact reacting to food additives, preservatives, and stabilizers. These sensitivities/allergies are very common today due to the amount of processing that occurs with our food supply.

Common food additives include: MSG (monosodium glutamate), high fructose corn syrup, yeast extract, artificial flavoring

Common food stabilizers include: guar gum, carrageenan, lecithin, xanthan gum

Common food preservatives include: sulfites, nitrates, sodium nitrite/benzoate, ascorbic acid, BHA/BHT

Treatment for Food Additive/ Preservative/ Stabilizer Allergies

At Franklin Acupuncture, we specialize in a treatment for food additive/ preservative/ stabilizer allergies called Soliman Auricular Allergy Treatment (SAAT).  SAAT was developed by Dr. Nader Soliman, an innovator in the field of auricular (ear) acupuncture. Ultimately, the outcome of receiving SAAT for food additive/ preservative/ stabilizer allergies is complete elimination of the allergic reactions. We provide food additive/ preservative/ stabilizer allergy treatment for patients in Tennessee and surrounding areas such as Kentucky, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Indiana, and Illinois.

Many patients with food additive/ preservative/ stabilizer allergies will require just one treatment to eliminate all reactions. However, patients who are highly reactive to multiple types of additives/ preservatives/ stabilizers may need more than one treatment. Oral frequency-based remedies are also required to fully address the allergens.

Elimination of food additive/ preservative/ stabilizer allergies utilizing SAAT does not require the patient to be exposed to the allergen directly. It also does not require an extended period of time to address the sensitivity/allergy. Depending on what is found at the initial evaluation, the length of treatment is three to ten weeks.
