Allergy Treatment (SAAT)

SAAT – What to Expect

  • The consultation, testing, and treatment are completed at the initial visit.
  • The testing is non-invasive and does not include skin prick or blood testing.
  • Every patient will be rechecked after the initial visit in order to ensure that the treatment has worked.
  • The treatment process involves the insertion of tiny acupuncture needles into the ear.
  • Needles are covered by a small piece of medical adhesive and are not sticking out of the ear or visible to others.
  • The needles are left in the ear for three to four weeks, depending on the specific case.
  • Typically only one treatment per allergen is required.
  • Franklin Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine does not provide treatment for any allergen in which the patient has experienced an anaphylactic shock reaction to. Although we provide treatment for those who have experienced severe reactions (hives, rashes/itching, diarrhea, nausea/vomiting), we do not provide treatment for those who have experienced any of the following symptoms: loss of consciousness, low blood pressure, or difficulty breathing.

Pricing

Base price of $550 per treatment.  Treatment includes the initial visit and recheck visit.

Treatment price may be more than $550, depending on what the testing shows at the initial visit.  Pre-treatment is required if testing indicates that the patient is reactive to either the adhesives or metal used on the ear. Oral remedies will need to be used at home for about 6 weeks prior to returning for treatment, which increases the treatment price. In some cases, remedies are also required to fully address the allergens.

A non-refundable deposit of $150 is required to book an appointment.  The $150 non-refundable deposit will be applied to the total due at the initial visit.
